Group Accountant

Our client in the transport and logistics sector is looking for a Group Accountant to join their team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting Degree.
• Completed Articles training to become a Chartered Accountant will be preferred.
• CA(SA) recommended.
• Previous experience in a group accounting role.
• Experience in the financial accounting field.
• Logistics or courier business experience.
• South African citizen with a clear criminal record.

Duties:

• Compiling of monthly shareholders packs.
• Working with the business units on monthly reporting packs.
• Group cash flow reporting and management.
• Group consolidations (consolidating about 8 entities).
• Due diligence process if required.
• Compiling of investment papers for potential acquisitions.
• Supply a support function to start-up companies or new acquisitions.
• Management of Group P&L.
• Evaluating business processes on the business units to improve efficiencies and profitability.
• Working with BU’s on the distribution of daily/weekly dashboards.
• External and audit management and assistance.
• Budget planning and assistance with BU and Group budget process.
